Pakistan School on Internet Governance (pkSIG) is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Founded in 2015, pkSIG has become a leading platform for internet governance education in Pakistan. The initiative aims to empower young professionals, civil society members, and academics with the knowledge and skills needed to participate in shaping the future of the internet.

pkSIG offers a free, 3-4 day event featuring workshops, lectures, and discussions on various aspects of internet governance, including cybersecurity, digital rights, and internet policy. By providing a platform for dialogue and collaboration, pkSIG fosters a vibrant community of internet governance enthusiasts.

Over the past decade, pkSIG has trained hundreds of individuals and has been instrumental in promoting digital literacy and critical thinking. The program has also played a role in addressing the digital gender gap by actively encouraging female participation.

As pkSIG enters its next decade, it remains committed to its mission of empowering the next generation of internet leaders. By providing a high-quality curriculum and fostering a supportive learning environment, pkSIG continues to make a significant contribution to Pakistan’s digital landscape.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
