This conference is intended to bring together key stakeholders to discuss and deliberate on sector objectives and policy directions with the aim of advancing Pakistan’s software and IT service industries. The event is designed as a consultative platform to encourage dialogue among participants, share perspectives, and contribute to formulating a development framework that explores and unfolds the potential of these critical sectors.

Scheduled for January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the conference will take place at Training Hall-II on the ground floor of the PPMI Complex located in Sector H-8/1, Islamabad. It will be chaired by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission. The roundtable offers an opportunity for participants, including those joining virtually, to engage in discussions addressing the challenges faced by Pakistan’s economy and the pivotal role the software and IT service sectors can play in overcoming these difficulties.

The invitation extends to outstation participants who can join remotely through a Zoom meeting with Meeting ID 938 5409 9261 and Passcode 396368. This digital access underlines the government’s effort to ensure broad inclusion and participation, fostering collaboration among stakeholders across geographic locations. This roundtable reflects a proactive approach by the Ministry to address the pressing economic challenges facing the country by focusing on technology-driven sectors. By convening experts, policymakers, and industry representatives, the government aims to develop comprehensive strategies that harness the strengths of the software and IT services industry to boost economic resilience. The event highlights the commitment to integrating technology and innovation into national development plans, thereby encouraging sustainable growth and expanding Pakistan’s presence in the global digital market.
