In a momentous event at the Web Summit 2024 in Doha, Qatar, Ambassador of Pakistan Muhemmed Aejaz and Chairman of Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) Muhammad Zohaib Khan jointly inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion on Wednesday.
Highlighting the global significance of the summit, Khan revealed that 1,043 startups from 81 countries are actively participating in the event. Ambassador Aejaz commended the participation of over 100 Pakistani delegates, emphasizing the pivotal role played by the Embassy of Qatar in fostering an environment conducive to B2B matchmaking.
Zohaib Khan underscored the potential of Pakistani innovation and talent to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), thereby fostering economic development, job creation, and revenue generation. He emphasized the importance of interaction between Pakistani professionals and their international counterparts, facilitating the exchange of insights and cutting-edge ideas to accelerate growth in the IT industry.
Chairman P@SHA praised the vibrant tech ecosystem of Pakistan, highlighting the collaborative efforts with esteemed partners such as the Ministry of IT and Telecom Pakistan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan Software Export Board, and others. He expressed optimism regarding the outcome of B2B deals, expecting significant export orders for the IT & IT-enabled Services (ITeS) industry across various verticals.
Notable Pakistani companies participating in the event include Bitsol Technologies, Crecentech Systems, Cloudpacer, Discretelogix, DevGate, and others, reflecting the country’s diverse and innovative tech landscape.
