Pakistan Night At GITEX Dubai 2025 Highlights Innovation And Global Collaboration

Pakistan’s growing presence in the global digital economy took center stage at GITEX Dubai 2025 during “Pakistan Night,” a high-profile networking event held on October 13. Organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan, Dubai, in partnership with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan (MoITT), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, the event brought together leading figures from government, industry, and technology to celebrate Pakistan’s innovation and expanding global reach in the tech sector.

The event was attended by key dignitaries including Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Khawaja, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce Ihsaan Khan, P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Syed, Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam, Ambassador H.E. Faisal Tirmizi, Sheikh Abdul Qadir and Usman Akbar from P@SHA’s Central Executive Committee, former P@SHA Chairman Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Digital Authority Dr. Sohail Munir, and Trade and Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan. Their presence underscored the strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving Pakistan’s digital progress.

In her address, Federal Minister Shaza Khawaja emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing digital transformation and the government’s efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusion across the technology ecosystem. Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi spoke about the growing trade and technology relations between Pakistan and the UAE, highlighting how global platforms like GITEX serve as crucial bridges for investment and collaboration. Sajjad Syed and Ihsaan Khan both reaffirmed the IT industry’s readiness to expand its international footprint, supported by government initiatives that foster a conducive environment for tech exports and global engagement. Dr. Sohail Munir and Ali Zeb Khan also shared insights into Pakistan’s digital potential, innovation capacity, and the importance of strengthening bilateral ties to sustain growth in the digital economy.

The evening brought together diplomats, Emirati officials, business executives, and exhibitors from GITEX Global 2025, fostering meaningful dialogue on emerging technologies, AI, fintech, cybersecurity, and digital trade. Attendees explored potential avenues for collaboration and investment, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to building a resilient and globally connected technology ecosystem. The event also highlighted Pakistan’s achievements under the Tech Destination Pakistan initiative, which continues to promote the country as a trusted global technology partner.

Pakistan Night at GITEX Dubai 2025 stood as a reflection of the country’s steady digital advancement and its increasing engagement on the world stage. With the participation of industry leaders and policy representatives, the gathering symbolized Pakistan’s drive to nurture partnerships that will strengthen innovation, enhance global trade, and shape the future of its technology landscape.
