Pakistan and the Netherlands reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic ties during a meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Dutch Ambassador Henny Fokel de Vries.
The discussions highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two nations and their shared values. Minister Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of ongoing structural reforms aimed at boosting Pakistan’s economic growth and fiscal stability.
Pakistan expressed particular interest in collaborating with the Netherlands on technology transfer, particularly in the areas of agriculture, dairy, and farm production. The Minister believes this collaboration could significantly increase Pakistan’s agricultural output and exports.
Ambassador de Vries echoed the desire for deeper cooperation and highlighted existing pilot projects in Pakistan. These projects focus on fish production, improving labor safety and environmental standards in the textile industry, and water management in agriculture. The Netherlands expressed its commitment to expanding these initiatives and exploring new areas of collaboration.
