Pakistan has made a historic impact at LEAP 2025, the world’s most-attended technology event, by marking its largest-ever participation in an international tech gathering. Held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the event witnessed an impressive delegation from Pakistan, with over 100 IT companies and more than 1,000 delegates showcasing the country’s growing digital capabilities and fostering global collaborations.

The event kicked off with the Pak-Saudi Business Forum, a high-profile gathering attended by over 400 representatives from both nations, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in IT and digital transformation. Pakistan’s official presence at LEAP 2025 was highlighted by the inauguration of the Pakistan Pavilion, led by Minister of State for IT & Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja, alongside H.E. Deema AlYahya, Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham, Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia H.E. Ahmad Farooq, CEO PSEB Abu Bakar, and Chairman PASHA Sajjad Syed.

The Pakistan Pavilion served as a key platform to showcase the country’s top IT firms, startups, and service providers, featuring cutting-edge innovations in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital solutions. Throughout the event, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja engaged in strategic discussions with Saudi tech giants, government representatives, and industry leaders, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to digital transformation and international partnerships.

A significant outcome of Pakistan’s participation at LEAP 2025 was the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and business contracts between Pakistani IT firms and global tech companies. These agreements are expected to accelerate Pakistan’s expansion in international markets, attracting foreign investment and opening new business opportunities for the country’s thriving IT sector.

Pakistan’s influence at LEAP 2025 was further amplified by high-profile speaking engagements. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja took center stage in a panel discussion on Pakistan’s role in global digital innovation, while CEO PSEB Abu Bakar spoke on empowering startups through international collaboration. These discussions emphasized Pakistan’s vision to position itself as a key player in the global tech and digital economy.

Reflecting on Pakistan’s success at the event, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja stated:
“LEAP 2025 has been an incredible platform to showcase Pakistan’s digital capabilities to the world. Our tech sector is thriving, and the partnerships formed here will accelerate our journey towards a more connected, innovative, and technology-driven Pakistan.”

CEO of PSEB, Abu Bakar, highlighted the importance of such global engagements, noting:
“Pakistan’s IT industry is at a turning point, and events like LEAP 2025 provide invaluable opportunities for growth. The MoUs signed here will unlock new investment avenues and drive business expansion on an international scale.”

Chairman PASHA, Sajjad Syed, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing:
“Pakistan’s presence at LEAP 2025 reflects the strength and potential of our IT ecosystem. We have demonstrated that Pakistan is a key player in the global tech landscape.”

With a rapidly growing IT industry, an expanding startup ecosystem, and a strong focus on digital innovation, Pakistan’s participation at LEAP 2025 has reinforced its position as a rising global tech destination. The event has provided a crucial platform to foster collaborations, drive business growth, and unlock new opportunities for the future of Pakistan’s digital economy.
