National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) is set to introduce a new era of traffic enforcement with the launch of an e-ticketing app on August 14th. The app aims to streamline the ticketing process and improve efficiency.

In tandem with the app, the NH&MP has reported significant success in curbing the issue of overloaded trucks. With a 98% compliance rate for axle load regulations, the police force has made substantial progress in enhancing road safety.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has introduced a citizen-friendly initiative, the Dastak Doorstep Services app, designed to simplify the process of obtaining government documents. The app enables residents to acquire essential certificates, such as birth, death, and marriage certificates, as well as vehicle registrations, without the hassle of visiting government offices.

Through the Dastak app, citizens can submit required documents and photographs, after which a government agent will collect the necessary paperwork for a fee. The processed documents are then delivered to the applicant within nine days. The app also provides an opportunity for individuals to earn a commission by becoming Dastak facilitators.

These initiatives are expected to enhance public convenience and contribute to overall improvements in traffic management and citizen services.
