Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has expressed its commitment to assisting the government in achieving a $100 billion export target.
FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh emphasized the need for immediate solutions to Pakistan’s energy crisis and a business-friendly environment. He believes these factors are crucial for achieving the ambitious export target by 2030.
“Without these improvements, reaching $100 billion in exports will be impossible,” Sheikh asserted. He called for export industry incentives in the upcoming budget to bolster its competitiveness.
Sheikh also welcomed the recent visit by a Saudi Arabian business delegation to Pakistan, advocating for attracting investors from various countries, including Saudi Arabia.
He urged continued discussions with China on economic zones in the joint coordination committee meetings. Sheikh believes establishing industries in these zones will create significant employment opportunities within the country.
The FPCCI president commended the government’s efforts to attract foreign investment, recognizing it as a vital driver for economic growth. This collaboration between the government and the business community signifies a united front in propelling Pakistan’s exports and fostering a stronger economy.
