Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to bolster their bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on cooperation in the fields of technology, education, and research. This commitment was voiced by Pakistan’s Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, during a meeting with a high-level delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by the Minister of Education and Science, Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva. The discussion, which took place in Islamabad, highlighted the potential for deeper collaboration between the two countries, especially in areas that could significantly benefit their education systems.

Minister Siddiqui welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the Kyrgyz Minister’s visit, stressing the importance of events like the International Conference on Girls’ Education. He noted that such forums provide Islamic countries with valuable opportunities to strengthen their relationships and collaborate on common educational goals. Siddiqui specifically acknowledged the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in education and highlighted the importance of mutual exchanges in vocational and technical training. He suggested that both nations could learn from each other’s experiences and work together to enhance their educational systems.

One of the key topics of the discussion was the integration of digital solutions into the education sector. Minister Siddiqui introduced Pakistan’s E-Taleem and Teleschool platforms, which are designed to address challenges in public education by providing innovative digital solutions. He expressed a desire for the two countries to collaborate on the development and implementation of similar digital platforms, benefiting from their collective knowledge and technological advancements.

Moreover, Siddiqui emphasized that both Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan should consider collaboration through multilateral platforms such as the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). He believes that such platforms offer a broader scope for educational and technological cooperation, which would further contribute to both countries’ socio-economic development.

In response, Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva expressed her admiration for Pakistan’s educational initiatives and reaffirmed the strong bond between the people of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. She echoed Siddiqui’s sentiments regarding the importance of collaboration, particularly between universities and technical institutions. She suggested that fostering closer ties between the educational sectors of both countries would lead to greater innovation and shared learning.

Kendirbaeva also shared details about a digital learning platform currently in use in Kyrgyzstan, which has yielded positive results. She emphasized that the platform could serve as a model for Pakistan to explore and potentially adopt or adapt for its own educational needs. This insight further fueled the discussion on how both countries could leverage their technological resources to improve access to education and ensure a more effective learning environment.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, Avazbek Atakhanov, was also present during the meeting and contributed to the dialogue, reinforcing the potential for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting between the Pakistani and Kyrgyz delegations marks a significant step towards strengthening educational ties and promoting the exchange of knowledge and resources. By focusing on technology, research, and educational innovation, both countries have laid the groundwork for future collaborations that could have a lasting impact on their education sectors and foster a deeper, more meaningful partnership.
