PTA and National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), and GSMA joined forces to address the digital gender divide in the country.

A one-day workshop titled “Bridging the Mobile Gender Gap” brought together government officials, civil society representatives, and industry experts. The discussions focused on strategies to increase women’s access to mobile technology and digital services.

“This initiative marks the beginning of our collective journey towards a more inclusive and equitable digital future for all,” said PTA Chairman Maj. Gen. (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman.

Former Federal Minister Nilofar Bakhtiar emphasized the importance of digital inclusion for women, highlighting its role in achieving economic and social development.

The workshop explored best practices for empowering women through mobile technology and featured successful case studies from other countries. Representatives from various government ministries and private entities participated in the event.

The workshop concluded with a commitment to continued collaboration in addressing the digital gender divide in Pakistan.
