The Pakistan Freelancers Association is hosting an online session titled “Enabling a Safety Net for Pakistani Entrepreneurs and Freelancers” on June 6, 2026, bringing together freelancers, entrepreneurs, and aspiring professionals for a structured conversation about building sustainable support systems within Pakistan’s growing independent workforce community.
The session will be led by Ibrahim Amin, Chairman of the Pakistan Freelancers Association, and hosted by Nalain Abbas, the association’s Ambassador for the Rawalpindi Region. The format is designed to be accessible and practical, covering how the Pakistan Freelancers Association supports its members, what networking and collaboration opportunities are available through the platform, how participants can access industry insights, resources, and guidance relevant to their work, and what pathways exist for growing and sustaining a freelance or entrepreneurial career over the long term. Rather than a one-way presentation, the session is structured around direct engagement between participants and the association’s leadership, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions specific to their own professional situations.
The Pakistan Freelancers Association has been one of the more active industry voices in Pakistan’s digital economy policy conversations in recent months, having submitted detailed budget recommendations to the Federal Board of Revenue and the Ministry of Finance calling for the retention of the existing 0.25 percent tax rate on foreign exchange earnings for freelancers, the establishment of freelancing hubs across major cities, and subsidies for internationally recognised certifications. The organisation’s focus on both policy advocacy and community-level support makes sessions of this kind a complement to its institutional work, ensuring that individual freelancers and small business owners have direct access to the association’s guidance rather than engaging with it only at the policy level. The session is scheduled for 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time, and interested participants can direct message the Pakistan Freelancers Association to receive the session link and confirm their attendance.
