The Pakistan Freelancers Association is bringing back its From Freelancer to Founder series for a fifth edition, this time in collaboration with Canva Community Karachi, at the National Incubation Center Karachi, building on four previous editions with a focused exploration of how creativity, branding, and design can strengthen a freelance practice and provide the foundation for building something larger and more sustainable.

The fifth edition builds on the established format of earlier sessions while introducing a new thematic layer centred on visual creativity and design, recognising that for many Pakistani freelancers, particularly those in writing, marketing, consulting, and digital services, the ability to present work professionally and build a recognisable personal brand is increasingly as important as the service itself. The collaboration with Canva Community Karachi brings a community of designers and creative professionals directly into the conversation, creating opportunities for cross-disciplinary exchange between freelancers from different backgrounds who may not have previously considered how design thinking applies to their own freelance journey.

The session is positioned as relevant to participants at different stages, whether they are early in their freelancing career and building initial client relationships, or are already established and beginning to explore whether their freelance practice could evolve into a more structured business with its own brand identity, team, and growth strategy. From Freelancer to Founder 5.0 combines learning, peer networking, and practical exploration of the creative and commercial possibilities available to freelancers who are ready to think beyond individual project delivery toward building something with longer-term momentum. Interested participants can register through the official registration link, with further event details to be announced ahead of the session at NIC Karachi.

about
CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
