Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) is set to host the fifth edition of its From Freelancer to Founder event at the National Incubation Center Karachi on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, starting at 3:00 PM. The session is designed for freelancers who are looking to move beyond individual gig work and build their own brands and service-based businesses, with Canva serving as a central theme and practical demonstration tool throughout the event.

From Freelancer to Founder 5.0 will cover a range of topics aimed at helping participants shift from an earning mindset to an entrepreneurship mindset. The agenda includes sessions on identifying market opportunities, building scalable services, understanding how artificial intelligence is changing the nature of digital work, and using Canva not merely as a design application but as a full business tool capable of supporting client services, content operations, and brand building. Attendees will also explore both online and local market opportunities, with real-world examples of Canva-powered business models presented during the workshop.

The event brings together a lineup of speakers and contributors including Ibrahim Amin, Dr. Imran Batada, Global CIO Award Winner Fahad Sheikh, Manar Gulzai, Maham Aslam, and Hunain Bin Sohail, alongside representation from the National Incubation Center Karachi and Canva Community Karachi. PAFLA has positioned the From Freelancer to Founder series as a platform for the country’s growing freelance community to access mentorship, practical frameworks, and peer connections that support the transition from individual service provider to business owner. Interested participants can register and secure their spot at https://lnkd.in/dhnCQS4E, and can visit www.pafla.org.pk for more information about the association and its upcoming programmes.

about
CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
