OPPO has launched its Enco X4 true wireless earbuds alongside the company’s latest Find X10 smartphone series, introducing upgrades focused on audio quality, noise control, artificial intelligence features and battery life. The new earbuds have been tuned in collaboration with Dynaudio’s Scandinavian sound team and support lossless audio transmission at speeds of up to 2.3Mbps with 48kHz/24-bit audio. The Enco X4 uses a fourth-generation coaxial dual-driver system with dual-DAC crossover technology, combining a polymer diaphragm for bass with a concentric symmetrical magnetic circuit designed to reproduce finer audio details.
The earbuds also feature an upgraded chipset based on a 6nm process, compared with the 12nm chip used previously. OPPO has added spatial audio, quick voice commands, head-gesture controls and stereo recording to the Enco X4. The company has also focused on noise reduction, with the new earbuds incorporating updated processing and noise-control technology. Each earbud weighs around 5.6 grams and carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity is handled through Bluetooth 6.1, with support for AAC, SBC, LHDC and LC3 codecs.
One of the main additions is AI-powered real-time translation, which supports 24 commonly used languages. In supported scenarios, the translation system allows one person to view translated text on a connected screen while the other person hears the translated speech through the earbuds. This is designed to make conversations between speakers of different languages easier without requiring users to repeatedly pass a phone between them. OPPO has increasingly incorporated AI-based features across its device ecosystem, including on-device translation capabilities developed for its smartphones.
Battery life is another major feature of the Enco X4, with the earbuds offering up to 13 hours of playback on a single charge when using AAC, while the charging case raises total playback time to as much as 53 hours. With LHDC enabled, playback reaches up to 10 hours on the earbuds and 42 hours with the case. The charging case supports both USB-C wired charging and wireless charging. OPPO has priced the Enco X4 at around $178, with a pre-sale price of approximately $164, although the company has not yet confirmed global availability for the earbuds.
