Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Pakistan has launched an electronic monitoring system (EMS) for Hajj 2019. This has been developed for immediate resolution of inquiries and complaints that are submitted by aspiring pilgrims during Hajj days. The Ministry has launched the app in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
Furthermore, the ministry has also developed an android application named ‘Pak Hajj Moavin’ and has also a Mobile SMS service called ‘Pak Hajj Guide’ to provide the necessary information to the aspiring pilgrims.

Through the app, the pilgrims can register complaints online, meanwhile the Hajj monitoring system has been set aside for official supervisions. According to reports, the system comes with an in-built mechanism that transfers unresolved complaints to the next management tier for appropriate measures. The system also generates a daily situation report to keep the senior management informed.
