National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) and Nazeer Hussain University (NHU) have joined forces to revolutionize Pakistan’s higher education landscape. The collaboration aims to create a model for practical, market-driven skills training that addresses the evolving needs of the nation’s workforce.

During a recent visit to NHU, Professor Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, the Founding Vice Chancellor of NSU, emphasized the urgent need for Pakistan’s youth to acquire practical skills that align with industry demands. He highlighted the importance of shifting away from traditional, theoretical education models and embracing a more hands-on approach.

NHU, under the leadership of Chancellor Engr. Farhat M. Khan and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bilal Ahmad Alvi, share NSU’s vision of equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed in the global job market. The collaboration between the two institutions aims to establish a benchmark for higher education in Pakistan, focusing on practical training and industry partnerships.

Dr. Arshad Abdullah Vohra, a Member of the National Assembly from Karachi, stressed the urgent need to create an educational pipeline that caters to both students and the nation’s economic needs. He emphasized the potential of this partnership to serve as a model for urban centers like Karachi, where skilled labor is in high demand.

Adnan Asif, Director of the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training office, also expressed support for this collaboration, aligning with the government’s vision for higher education reform.

By combining their strengths and expertise, NSU and NHU aim to create a new generation of skilled professionals who can contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth and development. This partnership represents a significant step towards transforming Pakistan’s higher education landscape and empowering its youth.
