Nora is preparing to launch two new electric vehicles in Pakistan, called the Nora NEO and Nora METRO, both classified as L7 category quadricycles that belong to the same regulatory bracket as the existing Nora EV but are considerably larger and more powerful. The company had originally planned to unveil both models around PAPS 2026, scheduled from September 18 to 20 in Lahore, but shipping delays have pushed the timeline back, with Nora now working toward a tentative launch date of around September 20 or later. The larger METRO is notably bigger than the Suzuki Swift in some dimensions, positioning it well outside the compact footprint typically associated with quadricycle vehicles in Pakistan.
Both vehicles share largely identical underlying specifications despite their size difference, with a claimed range of 250 to 300 km, a maximum speed of 70 km/h, a 4 kW motor, and a 23.1 kWh LFP battery running on a 72V system with rear wheel drive. Charging time for both models runs between 6 and 8 hours, and each comes with a battery guarantee combining a 3 year replacement guarantee with an additional 7 year cell replacement warranty. The METRO measures 3,900 x 1,800 x 1,800 mm with a 2,360 mm wheelbase and 210 mm ground clearance, while the smaller NEO comes in at 3,300 x 1,600 x 1,600 mm with a 2,300 mm wheelbase and 180 mm ground clearance, with both vehicles featuring five doors, four seats, keyless entry, push button start, four wheel disc brakes, and a reversing camera as standard equipment.
Feature wise, the two models differ mainly in screen size, with the METRO getting a 10 inch HD touchscreen compared to the NEO’s 9 inch display, alongside slightly larger tyres on the METRO at 195/70 R14 versus the NEO’s 175/70 R13. Both vehicles include electronic parking brakes, central locking, heaters, USB ports, multifunction steering, and aluminium alloy wheels, giving them a feature set that closely mirrors what buyers would expect from a compact hatchback rather than a stripped down quadricycle. Nora has not announced final pricing for either vehicle, but the company told PakWheels that both the NEO and METRO will cost below Rs 3 million, with their L7 classification helping keep prices relatively contained despite their larger than typical dimensions for the category.
With five door bodies, four seats, and expected prices below Rs 30 lakh, the two vehicles are positioned for urban uses such as grocery runs, school and college commutes, office travel, and shorter city trips, extending the growing lineup of affordable quadricycle EVs that has emerged in Pakistan’s market over the past year alongside competitors like the Alektra Metro. Whether Nora meets its tentative September 20 launch window will depend on how quickly the company resolves the shipping delays that pushed the original PAPS 2026 unveiling plans, though the detailed specifications and imagery already released suggest the vehicles are close to market ready even if the exact debut date remains fluid.
