Nexgen Auto Pvt Ltd, a Nishat Group company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Albario Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, through its EV subsidiary A-Charge, to accelerate the development of Pakistan’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This collaboration aims to provide customers with greater convenience and support the growing adoption of electric mobility across the country.

As part of the agreement, Albario Engineering will offer seamless installation services for AC home chargers tailored for Nexgen Auto’s newly launched Omoda and Jaecoo electric vehicles. The initiative is designed to enhance the ownership experience by enabling customers to charge their vehicles conveniently at home, without the complexities often associated with installing charging equipment. By integrating efficient home charging solutions, both companies are aiming to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and practical for everyday use.

In addition to home charging, the partnership also includes a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deploy public DC fast chargers across Pakistan. This rollout will be a significant step toward addressing range anxiety and providing EV owners with more charging options during longer journeys. Fast charging facilities are expected to be strategically located in key urban centers and along major highways, ensuring that electric vehicles can be recharged quickly and efficiently.

The collaboration between Nexgen Auto and Albario Engineering underscores the importance of partnerships between automotive companies and infrastructure providers in driving the shift towards New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). With the Omoda and Jaecoo EVs entering the market, the availability of both home and public charging solutions is essential for fostering consumer confidence and encouraging wider adoption.

By expanding the EV charging ecosystem, the initiative aligns with broader national and global efforts to promote sustainable transportation and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Industry analysts view the move as an important milestone in preparing Pakistan for a future where electric vehicles become a mainstream choice for personal and commercial transportation.

This partnership also reflects a shared commitment to technological innovation and customer-centric service. Nexgen Auto brings its expertise in automotive manufacturing and distribution, while Albario Engineering contributes its technical know-how and experience in delivering energy solutions at scale. Together, they aim to set new benchmarks in EV convenience and infrastructure readiness in Pakistan.

The companies are expected to begin implementation of both home charging installations and the public DC fast charger network in the coming months, paving the way for a more robust and reliable EV ecosystem.
