NED University of Engineering and Technology’s Centre for Software Research and Training is offering a three-month certification programme titled Mobile App Development with Artificial Intelligence, providing participants with a structured curriculum spanning mobile development fundamentals through to building AI-powered mobile applications. The programme commences on July 25, 2026, with sessions held Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and carries an investment of Rs18,000 per participant, with a 10 percent discount available for lump sum payment.

The curriculum progresses across five structured modules. It begins with an introduction to mobile app development covering Android versus iOS ecosystems, native versus hybrid applications, and mobile application architecture, before moving into mobile UI and UX design fundamentals including layouts, navigation, responsive design, and Material Design concepts. Participants then advance into mobile app development fundamentals built around Flutter and React Native, covering widgets, components, state management, and navigation between screens. A backend and database integration module covers local storage, SQLite and Firebase basics, REST API integration, and authentication concepts. The programme culminates with a dedicated module on AI integration in mobile applications, covering AI-powered mobile apps, chatbots and virtual assistants, AI API integration, speech and image recognition basics, and recommendation systems, giving participants direct, applied experience building the kind of intelligent features that are increasingly standard expectations in modern mobile applications.

The course carries 1.0 Continuing Professional Development credit as per Pakistan Engineering Council by-laws, making it relevant for engineers seeking to fulfil professional development requirements while building hands-on technical capability in a high-demand skill area. The course is led by Dr. Najeed Ahmed Khan, Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Software Research and Training at NED University, who serves as focal person for the programme. With mobile applications increasingly expected to incorporate artificial intelligence capabilities, from conversational interfaces to personalised recommendations, a structured certification that combines core mobile development skills with practical AI integration addresses a genuine gap in Pakistan’s technical training landscape, where most programmes treat mobile development and artificial intelligence as separate disciplines rather than the increasingly intertwined skill set that the current job market demands.
