Pakistan’s National Job Portal has received more than 7.1 million job applications from candidates, with over 1,200 job advertisements published on the government’s digital recruitment platform to date. According to official government data, the portal has attracted 27.566 million unique visitors since its launch, pointing to substantial and growing demand for online access to public sector employment opportunities across the country.

The platform has recorded 1,562,595 CVs and resumes submitted by applicants, alongside 1.562 million registered candidates using the portal to search and apply for available positions. A total of 185 employers are currently registered on the platform to publish vacancies and recruit candidates through the system, while 22,999 vacancies have been archived on the portal over time, reflecting the scale of recruitment activity the platform has processed since it went live.

The National Job Portal was developed by the National Information Technology Board as a federal government initiative designed to bring public sector employment opportunities onto a single, unified digital platform. Government organizations use the portal to publish vacancies and receive applications online, while job seekers can search for available positions and apply for roles across federal ministries and departments without needing to navigate separate recruitment processes for each institution individually.

The growing number of applications, registered candidates and unique visitors reflects the increasing reliance on digital platforms for government recruitment in Pakistan, positioning the National Job Portal as one of the more heavily used citizen facing digital services developed under NITB’s broader e-governance mandate. As more government departments and state owned enterprises continue shifting their operations toward digital systems, platforms like the National Job Portal are likely to play an increasingly central role in how public sector employment opportunities are advertised and accessed across the country.
