National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a public advisory cautioning citizens about a fraudulent website that is impersonating its official visa portal. The website, identified as “https://www.visa.nadragov.online/”, is not affiliated with NADRA and poses potential risks for the theft of personal information or unauthorized payments. Citizens have been urged to avoid submitting personal details on this site and to remain vigilant against similar attempts to exploit official services for fraudulent purposes.

NADRA clarified that its only authorized visa portal is “https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/”. The authority emphasized that users must rely exclusively on official government websites ending with the “.gov.pk” domain when accessing any NADRA services. This advisory comes amid growing concerns over cyber fraud and impersonation attempts targeting Pakistani citizens, particularly through websites mimicking government platforms to deceive users and obtain sensitive data.

Officials reiterated that the misuse of fraudulent websites undermines public trust and exposes citizens to significant financial and privacy risks. NADRA is actively monitoring such threats and taking necessary measures to safeguard its digital services. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or websites purporting to represent NADRA services. The authority also highlighted that adherence to official channels is critical to ensuring secure transactions and protecting personal information online.

NADRA’s advisory underlines the importance of digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness in accessing government services. By issuing these warnings, the organization seeks to educate the public on safe online practices while reinforcing the legitimacy of its official platforms. Citizens are advised to verify URLs carefully, avoid clicking on links from unverified sources, and report fraudulent websites through NADRA’s official complaint mechanisms to prevent the misuse of personal and financial information.
