Authorities have issued a warning that the approaching cyclone Biparjoy may lead to a breakdown of telecommunication services due to heavy rains. The cyclone is expected to hit the coastal areas between Mandvi in Gujarat, India, and Karachi in Pakistan. With maximum wind speeds of 125-135km/h (78-84 miles/h) and gusts up to 150 km/h (93 miles/h), the cyclone poses a significant risk to mobile networks.

The Sindh health department has urged people to stay indoors and alerted medical facilities to be prepared for potential emergencies.

Additionally, fishermen have been advised to avoid going to sea, and precautionary measures are being taken in the affected areas.

The National Disaster Management Authority emphasized the need for further monitoring of the situation to determine the cyclone’s impact accurately.
