Mashreq Pakistan, part of the MENA region’s leading financial institution Mashreq, has announced a strategic partnership with Ufone to bring essential telecom services directly into its banking app. Through this integration, customers can now top up mobile credit and purchase Ufone bundles without leaving the Mashreq app, offering a seamless and convenient digital experience. This collaboration represents a significant step in combining financial and telecom services to meet growing consumer demand for unified, platform-based solutions.

Hamayun Sajjad, CEO of Mashreq Pakistan, said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to making everyday services more accessible and efficient for its customers. With the increasing need for mobile data and bundles, users can now access services securely and quickly within the app, streamlining their digital lifestyle. Syed Atif Raza, Group Chief Commercial Officer of PTCL & Ufone 4G, added that the integration simplifies connectivity and aligns with the goal of embedding everyday services into customers’ digital routines.

The collaboration highlights a broader trend of digital banks and telecom operators working together to provide enhanced, real-time services. For Ufone, the partnership allows the company to engage customers in a secure and convenient environment, while Mashreq strengthens its digital ecosystem by embedding telco services alongside traditional banking features. The move reinforces Mashreq’s commitment to financial inclusion, lifestyle convenience, and delivering integrated solutions tailored to local needs while leveraging global best practices.

Aligned with Mashreq’s ‘Rise Every Day’ philosophy, the partnership underscores the bank’s focus on innovation across customer segments—from everyday users to small businesses. By integrating Ufone services into the app, Mashreq aims to provide a smarter, more connected digital banking experience, fostering a future-ready ecosystem where financial and lifestyle services converge seamlessly.
