A groundbreaking partnership between LMKR and Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) is set to transform land record management in Punjab. The two entities have joined forces to develop and implement a cutting-edge Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS).
Scheduled for launch on July 26, the new LRMIS aims to modernize the province’s antiquated land record system by creating a comprehensive, centralized database. This digital repository will consolidate all land records, including those from rural, urban, peri-urban, and Katchi Abadi areas, into a single platform.
By integrating advanced Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, LMKR will create a robust and scalable solution capable of handling the complexities of Punjab’s diverse land landscape. The system promises to provide landowners with unprecedented access to their property information, enabling them to easily obtain digital ownership documents and facilitate smooth land transactions.
The benefits of the new LRMIS extend beyond individual landowners. Government agencies will also reap the rewards of a streamlined land record management system, facilitating efficient dispute resolution and improved land governance.
“This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in Punjab’s journey towards digital transformation,” said Nasir Tanveer, VP Technology Business & Alliances at LMKR. “By leveraging our expertise in geospatial technology, we are confident in our ability to deliver a world-class LRMIS that will serve as a catalyst for economic growth and development in the province.”
The project is anticipated to significantly enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in land administration, ultimately contributing to the overall development of Punjab.
