The Lahore High Court has launched the Punjab Judicial Infrastructure Management System, described as a first-of-its-kind digital platform within Pakistan’s judiciary, in a move aimed at modernising the justice system and strengthening transparency in how judicial infrastructure across the province is planned, monitored, and maintained.

The initiative was launched under the direction of Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum to ensure digital oversight, effective planning, and transparent allocation of resources for judicial infrastructure across Punjab. The system provides comprehensive information regarding judicial complexes and facilities available to judicial officers, lawyers, and litigants across all tehsils of the province, consolidating data that has historically been scattered across individual district records into a single centralised digital platform accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Chief Justice Neelum said the introduction of the system marked a significant milestone in making the justice delivery system faster, more transparent, and aligned with modern technological standards, noting that the use of advanced technology and data-driven decision-making would bring transformative improvements to judicial administration at the tehsil level. She said the platform would facilitate effective planning and monitoring of judicial infrastructure while ensuring efficient and transparent utilisation of resources, ultimately benefiting litigants through improved and timely access to justice. The chief justice also appreciated the efforts of the information technology team responsible for developing the system, with Director General Judicial and Case Management Javed Iqbal Bosal present at the occasion.

The Additional Registrar for Information Technology, briefing participants at the launch, described the system as a comprehensive digital platform integrating all judicial complexes, residential facilities for judicial officers, and ongoing construction projects across Punjab into a unified digital network. He said the platform’s advanced dashboard would enable real-time monitoring and assessment of judicial facilities, development projects, and the physical condition of court buildings, with the system expected to enhance transparency, improve institutional efficiency, and strengthen service delivery by supporting timely, evidence-based decision-making while reducing resource wastage. He added that the system will play a key role in guiding the prioritised development and improvement of judicial infrastructure throughout the province going forward.
