Lenovo has quietly released the IdeaPad Slim 5i 15IWC11, a 15.3-inch lightweight laptop built around Intel’s new Wildcat Lake processors, expanding its growing lineup of machines powered by Intel’s Core Series 3 architecture. The launch follows Lenovo’s earlier rollout of IdeaPad Slim 3i models carrying the same chip family, and positions the Slim 5i as a practical, mid-range option for students, professionals, and everyday users who want modern silicon and a clean aluminium build without straying into premium pricing territory.

Inside, buyers can configure the Slim 5i with either an Intel Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 processor, both of which are six-core chips combining two performance cores and four low-power efficiency cores, along with a neural processing unit capable of up to 17 TOPS. The laptop supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM and is configurable with either a 54.7 or 70Wh battery, with both Type-C ports supporting up to 65W Power Delivery charging, and dual USB Type-A ports also included in the port selection. On the display side, the 15.3-inch IPS panel runs at a 1,920 by 1,200 pixel resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, with a 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, making it a more capable screen than the 60Hz panels typically found on laptops in this price bracket.

Intel’s Wildcat Lake architecture, officially branded as Core Series 3, is fabbed on Intel 18A and uses a two-tile package with a compute die and an external platform controller tile, with the compute die carrying up to two Cougar Cove performance cores, four Darkmont low-power efficiency cores, an NPU 5 block, and Xe3 integrated graphics, while the platform controller tile delivers PCIe 4.0 lanes, up to two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Intel Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth Core 6.0. Intel is positioning the Wildcat Lake family as the value-segment counterpart to Panther Lake, targeting students, small businesses, and users on a typical upgrade cycle, with more than 70 laptop designs from manufacturers including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Samsung scheduled across the remainder of 2026. The IdeaPad Slim 5i 15IWC11 measures 339 by 236 by 15.6 mm and features a sandblasted aluminium chassis, with Lenovo yet to confirm pricing or global availability details at the time of launch.
