All of Pakistan’s big cities have hidden beauty, but we won’t be able to appreciate it unless we are properly directed. In response to this problem, students at the Lahore University of Management Sciences devised a plan to show the world the beauty of Lahore, and to make it easier, they created the Lahori Khoji app.

This app, as the name implies, offers guided tours of Lahore’s Walled City. This software was released to coincide with World Heritage Day (April 18).

Usman explained that the students had to look through classical works on Lahore’s history, make many journeys to the walled city, identify major spots, pin them on google maps, and write historical notes about them in order to build a walking route for the gate allotted to them. This may appear to be a simpler read, but it is actually quite difficult.

The pupils may afterwards start the iOS version of this software, which may be downloaded from the Google Play store.
