Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board has launched the KP Women Digital Internship Program 2025–26, a six-month paid initiative designed to provide women with hands-on experience in technology and digital sectors. The program offers a monthly stipend of thirty thousand rupees and is aimed at equipping participants with practical skills to enter Pakistan’s growing digital economy.

The internship covers a wide range of digital fields including artificial intelligence, web and app development, UI/UX design, graphic design, data science, digital marketing, and cybersecurity. Through direct exposure to industry work, interns will gain practical experience, receive mentoring from seasoned professionals, and develop both technical and professional competencies that are essential for a successful career in technology. KPITB officials emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase women’s participation in technology-related jobs across the province.

Eligible applicants include fresh graduates and individuals who have completed their studies in the past three years, holding a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or its merged districts. Candidates will be placed with IT Park companies across the province, as well as at KPITB headquarters and the Digital Transformation Unit. Applicants from software houses are required to hold a master’s degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or related ICT fields. The selection process includes initial screening, interviews, and skill assessments to ensure a suitable match for available roles.

Interested candidates can apply through the official KPITB portal at joinit.kp.gov.pk/list/jobs. The program is expected to provide participants with a clear pathway into the technology sector while helping companies build a more diverse workforce. By combining practical training with industry engagement, KPITB aims to empower women to contribute effectively to Pakistan’s digital transformation efforts while fostering an inclusive environment for professional growth.
