Katalyst Labs, in collaboration with Google Cloud and byteeIT, is bringing a unique opportunity to early-stage startups with the launch of Startup Foundry Karachi. This initiative is designed to offer a focused learning and networking experience for founders navigating the challenges of scaling ventures in Pakistan’s competitive startup ecosystem. Set to take place on July 15, 2025, the event will host a curated lineup of speakers, panels, and fireside chats that dive into key aspects of early-stage growth, including fundraising, strategic positioning, and technology integration.

Startup Foundry Karachi aims to equip founders with a deeper understanding of what it takes to raise their first investment round and how to communicate their value proposition effectively. With the support of Google Cloud’s ecosystem knowledge and byteeIT’s tech perspective, the event will also showcase innovations in generative and agentic AI. A special tech session led by Esna Ong will feature highlights from Cloud NEXT 2025, offering attendees a first-hand look at advancements shaping the future of cloud computing and AI.

One of the event’s core segments includes a fireside chat on venture capital dynamics, especially within the Southeast Asian and Singaporean markets. Fannie Soubiele, Head of VC Partnerships for Southeast Asia at Google Cloud, will share insights into raising the first check and how early-stage founders can navigate investor conversations. This session will be moderated by Misbah Naqvi, Co-founder and General Partner at i2i Ventures, bringing local context to global investment practices.

The program also includes a panel discussion titled “The Early Stage Confessional,” which will focus on real-world challenges and early wins in the founder journey. The panel features Arsalan Ahmed, CTO of Adalfi, and Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga, Co-founder and CEO of Sehat Kahani. Moderated by Kashaf J., Vice President of Investments and Monitoring at Fatima Gobi Ventures, the discussion will bring to light the realities of building startups from the ground up in Pakistan, including operational, product, and fundraising challenges.

Scheduled to run from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, the event will be held at Katalyst Labs’ Karachi office. Due to limited capacity, only confirmed guests will receive calendar invites and venue access. The program is tailored to ensure that participants leave with practical insights and new connections in the startup and venture capital ecosystem.

Startup Foundry Karachi continues Katalyst Labs’ mission to foster meaningful collaboration and capacity building among emerging founders. By partnering with Google Cloud and byteeIT, the platform provides an elevated experience rooted in innovation, ecosystem learning, and capital access, further strengthening the foundation for startup growth in Pakistan.
