K-Electric (KE) has officially launched the 4th edition of the KHI Awards 2025, inviting entries from December 1, 2024, to celebrate institutional philanthropy and recognize organizations making a significant impact in Karachi and other regions of Sindh and Balochistan. The awards aim to honor not-for-profit organizations, social enterprises, and entities driving social and environmental initiatives in communities such as Karachi, Dhabeji, Gharo in Sindh, and Uthal, Vinder, and Bela in Balochistan.

Since its inception in 2021, the KHI Awards have provided a platform for recognizing outstanding contributions across multiple sectors, and have grown in prominence year after year. In the previous editions, KE has processed 110 million in electricity rebates across three cohorts of the awards, recognizing 108 organizations through a transparent and audited process. These organizations have positively impacted millions of lives in various areas including healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, sustainability, and safety, among others.

The awards are divided into 14 categories, encompassing a broad spectrum of sectors that directly affect local communities. KE’s commitment to nurturing social change and collaboration is evident in the diverse range of fields recognized by the awards. Last year’s edition alone received over 150 entries, underscoring the credibility and trust that the KHI Awards have built over the years. The awards reflect KE’s vision to support and uplift organizations from various sectors, from heritage and culture to digital accessibility, financial inclusion, and community welfare.

This year’s theme, “The Spirit of Service for a Brighter Environment,” emphasizes the importance of collaboration to foster a sustainable and thriving future. KE aims to inspire a culture of service and community support throughout Karachi by spotlighting the organizations working tirelessly to improve lives and contribute to a better future. The awards also seek to motivate others to follow suit, creating a ripple effect of social impact across the city and beyond.

Organizations of all sizes are invited to submit their entries, with categories designed to accommodate projects of varying scales. The evaluation process will be managed by an independent jury of experts to ensure fairness and transparency. With this initiative, KE hopes to not only celebrate the efforts of these organizations but also motivate more entities to engage in community-driven projects that enhance the quality of life for all. Interested parties can find detailed information on how to apply for the KHI Awards 2025 on KE’s official website: KHI Awards 2025 Application.
