In a move aimed at improving Pakistan’s digital payment ecosystem, JS Bank, Kuickpay, and 1LINK have formed a strategic partnership to facilitate the bulk onboarding of billers onto the 1BILL platform. A formal signing ceremony to mark this collaboration took place at the 1LINK 1HQ, with key representatives from all three organizations in attendance, including Mr. Syed Jafar Raza, Group Head of Investment, International & Transactional Banking at JS Bank, Mr. Arbab Ali Khan, Managing Director of Kuickpay, and Mr. Najeeb Agrawalla, CEO of 1LINK.

This partnership comes as part of an effort to enhance the digital payments infrastructure in Pakistan, streamlining processes for businesses, billers, and end-users. By onboarding multiple billers to 1BILL, a platform that aims to offer efficient and accessible digital payment solutions, the collaboration aims to simplify payment collections and foster the adoption of digital financial services across the country.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Syed Jafar Raza emphasized JS Bank’s commitment to the development of efficient banking and payment solutions. He remarked, “This collaboration is a step forward in enhancing the digital payments ecosystem, ensuring convenience and accessibility for billers and customers.” He further highlighted that by integrating more billers onto the platform, the partnership would create an easier, more reliable experience for customers looking to manage their payments.

Mr. Arbab Ali Khan, Managing Director of Kuickpay, shared his enthusiasm for the potential of the partnership, noting, “Our collaboration with 1LINK and JS Bank will empower billers with streamlined integration and improved operational efficiency.” He underscored the importance of offering simple, user-friendly payment systems for businesses across the country, pointing out that the partnership would make it easier for billers to manage and collect payments in a more seamless manner.

1LINK’s CEO, Mr. Najeeb Agrawalla, spoke about the significance of the partnership, stating, “The bulk onboarding of billers onto 1BILL is a testament to the collective efforts of all stakeholders to revolutionize digital payment platforms in Pakistan.” He expressed optimism that the integration would result in a smoother, faster payment collection system, leading to enhanced financial inclusivity and a more dynamic digital economy.

This partnership between JS Bank, Kuickpay, and 1LINK is poised to make a substantial impact on the country’s digital economy. By making it easier for businesses to integrate with the 1BILL platform and collect payments quickly, the collaboration is expected to foster a more efficient financial ecosystem. The move will benefit billers by providing them with quicker payment solutions and enabling them to expand their reach to a wider customer base. Moreover, the broader adoption of digital payment systems will further Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its financial infrastructure and drive greater financial inclusion.
