In a recent development, the signing and inauguration ceremony of the “China-Pakistan Land Resources Institute” were held at Jiangxi College of Applied Technology (JCAT).
During the ceremony, Afifa Shajia Awais, Education Attache from the Embassy of Pakistan in China, underscored the importance of educational cooperation as a crucial component of China-Pakistan collaboration. She expressed optimism that the collaborative model, encompassing joint training of professional talents, co-construction, and sharing of advanced vocational education concepts, would contribute to the development of skilled Pakistani land resources survey and management professionals.
Afifa Shajia Awais affirmed the embassy’s commitment to monitoring the institute’s development and providing necessary support, as reported by China Economic Net (CEN).
Tao Xiaoju, Deputy Director General of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources, joined the ceremony and provided insights into Jiangxi’s overall development and its unique mineral advantages. He highlighted the institute’s establishment as a new milestone in China-Pakistan educational collaboration and a noteworthy achievement in the amicable partnership between Jiangxi Province and Sindh Province.
Emphasizing the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Xiaoju noted that the corridor, known for its energy and mineral cooperation projects, requires a substantial number of skilled technical professionals specialized in land resources and mineral exploration. He stated, “It is opportune for JCAT to collaborate with Pakistan, leveraging its expertise in land resource exploration and management.”
Looking ahead, more than 20 Pakistani students are set to embark on a learning journey in China. They will undergo professional technical training and learn the Chinese language to acquire the necessary skills to meet the demands of the international market.
