Jazz has announced that VEON’s Board of Directors has approved a plan to move the company’s headquarters from Amsterdam to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This strategic move positions VEON to capitalize on Dubai’s role as a global tech hub and drive innovation in connectivity and digital services.

By relocating to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), VEON will become the largest Nasdaq-listed company with its Group headquarters in Dubai. This move aligns with VEON’s expanding operational hub in the region and offers numerous advantages, including enhanced partnerships, access to capital, and talent acquisition.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, welcomed this strategic decision, highlighting its positive impact on Jazz’s ability to accelerate its ServiceCo and enterprise journey. He emphasized that Dubai’s position as a global tech hub will enable Jazz to deliver innovative solutions in connectivity, fintech, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion, bridging the digital divide in Pakistan.

Kaan Terzioglu, Group CEO of VEON, explained that the decision to relocate the headquarters to Dubai reflects the company’s strategic realignment and closer proximity to key markets. He highlighted Dubai’s attractive offerings, including access to world-class talent and increased visibility with Gulf investors.

Jazz plays a crucial role in driving regional growth, offering innovative digital and financial services to millions of customers. With over 75 million subscribers and more than 43.9 million 4G users, Jazz is a leading player in Pakistan’s telecommunications market. The company’s digital verticals, including JazzCash, Tamasha, Garaj, and SIMOSA, continue to lead the local fintech, entertainment, cloud & cybersecurity, and self-care sectors.

This relocation marks a significant milestone for VEON as it positions itself for continued growth and innovation in the dynamic Middle Eastern market.
