Jazz, JazzCash, and Mobilink Bank have jointly pledged PKR 100 million to support flood relief and rehabilitation across Pakistan, marking one of the most significant private-sector commitments in response to the disaster. The pledge demonstrates a unified effort that brings together the power of telecom services, digital financial platforms, and sustainable banking solutions to deliver both immediate aid and longer-term recovery for flood-affected communities.

The relief program is designed with a dual approach. On one side, it focuses on urgent humanitarian needs, providing essentials such as food supplies, medicines, tents, and bedding for families who have lost homes and resources. On the other side, it integrates technology and finance to ensure affected people stay connected and have access to secure digital payments. Free and subsidized telecom services will keep families in touch during displacement, while JazzCash has introduced a matching grant initiative that doubles every customer donation made in collaboration with welfare organizations. This mechanism not only increases the pool of aid but also builds greater public participation in relief efforts, ensuring maximum impact for communities in distress.

Commenting on the initiative, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz and Chairman Mobilink Bank, said that the PKR 100 million pledge reflects a collective resolve to stand by the nation in times of crisis. He added that combining connectivity, digital financial services, and banking allows the three organizations to provide urgent relief while also laying foundations for sustainable recovery. His statement reinforces the growing role of the private sector in complementing government and non-governmental relief activities during national emergencies.

An important element of the program is its focus on vulnerable groups, especially women and children. Relief interventions will address nutrition, healthcare, and hygiene to safeguard families from further risks that typically follow natural disasters. This targeted approach ensures that those most at risk receive special attention, helping to prevent secondary crises in already challenging conditions. The organizations are also working to align with welfare groups to streamline the delivery of aid so that resources reach the people who need them most without unnecessary delays.

Looking beyond immediate relief, Mobilink Bank will lead the rehabilitation and recovery phase. The bank is set to introduce financing solutions that restore livelihoods, support small businesses, and inject resources back into local economies. By offering recovery-focused financial services, Mobilink Bank aims to empower communities to rebuild their futures and strengthen resilience against future disasters. This long-term strategy ensures that relief efforts go beyond one-off donations and instead create a pathway toward economic revival and self-sufficiency.

The combined approach of Jazz, JazzCash, and Mobilink Bank positions them at the forefront of corporate disaster response in Pakistan. By blending their expertise across telecom, fintech, and banking, the organizations are setting an example of how private-sector entities can contribute meaningfully to disaster relief while enabling long-term stability. Their PKR 100 million pledge is not just financial support but a comprehensive framework that integrates immediate humanitarian action with sustainable recovery, ensuring flood-affected families can rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.
