Jazz Business has deployed a resilient communications and command system for the Punjab Emergency Services Department’s Rescue 1122, aimed at supporting emergency operations in remote and flood affected locations where regular networks may be disrupted. The deployment is designed to give Rescue 1122 a more dependable communications backbone during the kind of large scale disasters that often knock out conventional network infrastructure.

The system combines Jazz’s connectivity infrastructure with Hytera’s professional communications technology, including dedicated communication nodes and rapidly deployable tactical network relays designed to extend coverage across difficult terrain, isolated communities and flood affected areas. These components are intended to work together to maintain a functioning communications layer even in conditions where standard mobile network coverage might otherwise fail during an emergency.

A centralized Command and Control Dispatch System forms the core of the solution and is integrated with digital Push-to-Talk radios. The system gives Rescue 1122 operators real time visibility of field activities while allowing dispatchers at regional command centres to communicate directly with rescue teams. The platform also enables operators to allocate and track emergency vehicles through interactive maps and monitor the availability of operational resources, helping maintain coordination between command centres and field personnel during complex emergency responses.

Shahzad Rasheed, President Enterprise Solutions at JazzWorld, said conventional infrastructure can face severe disruptions during natural disasters such as floods, precisely when effective coordination matters most. He added that combining resilient field communications with centralized command and control capabilities would help Rescue 1122 coordinate teams more effectively, respond faster and support vulnerable communities across Punjab. The system has been designed for high availability in demanding environmental conditions, reflecting its intended use in disaster scenarios where network reliability becomes especially critical.

The deployment adds to Jazz Business’s broader move towards integrated digital solutions for enterprise and public sector requirements, combining connectivity with specialized technologies to address operational needs beyond conventional network services. For Rescue 1122, the new system is intended to strengthen its capacity to manage large scale disasters and emergency operations in areas without dependable conventional infrastructure, positioning the partnership as a practical application of telecom technology toward public safety and disaster response in Punjab.
