Jahanzeb Khan has been appointed as the new CEO of FINCA Microfinance Bank.

FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited (the “Bank”) has named Mr. Jahanzeb Khan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).


On June 14, 2021, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan, a seasoned business leader, will take over as CEO of the Bank. Mr. Jahanzeb Khan has 23 years of international and local expertise in fintech, financial services, and banking. He is a well-known expert in the field of financial services reform and development.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jahanzeb to the FINCA Family, and believe that his vast diversity and history of work suit FINCA’s future ambition. Jahanzeb’s previous work as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Telenor Microfinance Bank resulted in the creation of a wide range of award-winning financial and digital products, as well as the implementation of a financial inclusion strategy. We are confident that Jahanzeb will be an excellent leader for FINCA Pakistan, and we wish him well in his new role,” stated Ms. Zar Wardak, Vice President and Division Director of FINCA Impact Finance (FIF).

Mr. Jahanzeb Khan holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the University of Delaware, has completed the Wharton Business School’s Program for Working Professionals, and has completed executive leadership programmes at both the Wharton and Harvard Business Schools.
