In celebration of the International Women’s Day, IDG is back with its series featuring women from around the local ecosystem. Tête-à-Tech with E-Elle’s; Nimra Naseer from InfoTech shares the organization’s take on women in the workforce.

Speaking to IDG Pakistan this month for our E-Elle series is Nimra Naseer from InfoTech. She talks about challenges she’s faced, and opportunities she’s found.

The biggest challenge that I have faced as a woman in STEM is to break stereotypes. The astounding gender gap in this field makes it even more difficult to persevere. Nonetheless, the trend is changing- slowly but in the right direction. It’s great to see women explore opportunities beyond the field of medicine; the surge of startups and new ventures by female entrepreneurs in technology is exceptionally promising.

At InfoTech, we take pride in a workplace culture that encompasses diversity and inclusivity, ensuring equal opportunities for women to succeed.

Lastly, she adds,

To all women in IT and beyond, a very Happy Women’s Day! Do not let anything stop you from realizing your goals!
