Capital Development Authority (CDA) is facing criticism from some residents after unveiling plans to convert a proposed ladies club in Sector G-10 into an Information Technology (IT) Park.
CDA held an event at the site to showcase its vision for the IT hub, which is intended to foster collaboration and innovation among tech businesses and startups. However, the decision has drawn the ire of women in the city who argue that there are already limited spaces dedicated to them, and the proposed club would have addressed this need.
In response to these concerns, CDA chairman has assured that women will be facilitated at the existing F-9 Citizen Club, also known as Gandhara Club, which caters to both genders.
CDA, along with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), hosted key figures from the IT industry at the event. CDA chairman pledged to collaborate with industry stakeholders and provide the necessary support to ensure the success of the IT Park.
