The Institute of Space and Technology has started a summer program called Space Summer School Program a week long and began on the 17th of July 2018 for kids of grade 5 to 12.
The Institute of Space and Technology (IST) has started a summer program called Space Summer School Program (SSSP) under their theme of Space Technology Education Program. The program is two weeks long and began on the 17th of July 2018 for kids of grade 5 to 12.

The program saw to the active participation of over 110 students from nine schools and aims to cover more than 50 interactive sessions in 10 exploration tracks for students. The interactive sessions will be covered in two levels as abecedarian and virtuoso.
The curator of Space Summer School Danial Amin hosted the inaugural ceremony for the program. Furthermore, the program will also consist of project space-themed activities, interactive lectures, hands-on workshops, space career counseling, Dr Abdus Salam space contest, space creative writing, space creative designing, space creative arts, webinars, seminars and astronomy night.

The program will be covering the following fields: Earth, Atmosphere, Aviation, Rocketry, Satellite Technology, Space Travel, and Space for Life, Space Agencies, Astronomy and Astrophysics and our contributions. Moreover, the students will also get opportunities to explore Planetarium, Aircraft Technology, CanSat Satellite development, Quad- copter Design, UAV design and Fabrication along with Astrolabe and Telescope.
IST has also planned a specialized Dr Abdus Salam Space Contest for the students that will test the level of space learning among students.
