In a significant move to strengthen Pakistan’s cybersecurity framework, Innovista (Pvt.) Ltd. has officially entered into a strategic partnership with the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) as a Technology Innovation Partner under the National CERT’s Cyber Innovation Ecosystem (CIE) initiative. The partnership, which aims to bolster technological advancements, research, and skills development in the field of cybersecurity, was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at a dedicated ceremony held at National CERT’s headquarters in Islamabad.
The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of National CERT, who was joined by key officials including Brig. Rana Farrukh Saleem, Secretary of NTISB; Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building; and Syed Imran Haider, Assistant Director Training. Representing INNOVISTA (Pvt.) Ltd., the event saw the presence of several senior figures: Saleem Arif, Executive Director; Awais Bin Siddique, Director of Corporate & Regulatory Affairs; Dr. Usman Zia, Director Technical; and Hisham Sarwar, Chief Executive Officer.
The newly forged alliance is a step forward in developing homegrown cybersecurity solutions and infrastructure for Pakistan. Through this collaboration, INNOVISTA will work closely with National CERT on joint research initiatives, advanced solution development, and structured training programs designed to uplift the country’s cyber defense mechanisms. The partnership places a strong emphasis on knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the development of indigenous technologies that align with global cybersecurity standards.
Dr. Haider Abbas, while addressing the ceremony, expressed his optimism about the initiative and stressed the importance of such partnerships in creating a secure, self-reliant digital ecosystem. He noted that the Cyber Innovation Ecosystem is meant to bridge gaps between government institutions, private sector innovators, academia, and research institutions, all with the shared mission of enhancing national cyber resilience.
The Cyber Innovation Ecosystem (CIE), spearheaded by National CERT, is designed to serve as a collaborative platform that brings together key stakeholders in Pakistan’s tech landscape. It aims to foster innovation by supporting early-stage and mature technology solutions, facilitating the exchange of cyber threat intelligence, and creating a robust defense network against evolving digital threats.
Through its active participation in the CIE, INNOVISTA will play a central role in shaping next-generation cybersecurity frameworks, contributing to policy discussions, and delivering scalable, tech-driven solutions that can be adopted across public and private institutions. The initiative also aligns with broader national objectives to enhance digital governance, cyber readiness, and technological sovereignty.
As cyber threats become increasingly complex and state actors around the world ramp up their cyber defenses, Pakistan’s approach through initiatives like CIE reflects a proactive strategy aimed at building indigenous capabilities. With Innovista onboard, the ecosystem gains a key innovation player with a proven track record in corporate technology solutions and digital infrastructure.
This partnership stands as a model for future public-private collaborations and signals a new chapter in Pakistan’s journey toward becoming a digitally secure nation. As the Cyber Innovation Ecosystem continues to grow, such alliances will be vital in shaping a resilient, forward-looking cybersecurity strategy for the country.
