Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry is set to convene technology leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders for InfoSec Summit Islamabad 2026 as part of the wider Indus AI Week activities taking place across the country. The event places a spotlight on sovereign AI and cybersecurity preparedness, with discussions designed to assess whether organizations and institutions are equipped to handle the next phase of intelligent and autonomous digital systems. Scheduled to be held at ICCI Auditorium in G 8/1, Islamabad at 09:00 AM on Tuesday, 10th February 2026, the summit brings together government representatives, business leadership, and security experts under one platform to exchange perspectives on strengthening Pakistan’s digital defense posture.

The summit is being hosted under the patronage of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry leadership, including President Sardar Tahir Mehmood and Chairman Founder Group Sheikh Tariq Sadiq, along with Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub, Vice President Irfan Chaudhry, and members of the Executive Committee. Their involvement signals a coordinated effort by the business community to engage more actively in national conversations around information security and emerging technologies. With digital adoption accelerating across public services, finance, telecom, and enterprise operations, participants are expected to examine how cybersecurity strategies must evolve beyond conventional tools and isolated controls toward integrated and intelligent systems that can respond dynamically to threats. Organizers have framed the theme around moving from tool based security to sovereign and autonomous cyber resilience, emphasizing that resilience requires both technology investment and stronger governance practices.

A key focus of the agenda is the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, particularly the rise of agentic AI systems that can operate with increasing independence. As such technologies become embedded in networks and critical infrastructure, the need for safeguards, oversight, and locally managed capabilities becomes more urgent. Speakers and attendees are expected to explore how sovereign AI principles can help Pakistan maintain control over sensitive data, protect national assets, and build domestic expertise in security technologies. The conversation is likely to extend to workforce development, cross sector coordination, and the importance of creating policies that encourage responsible innovation while addressing risk. By bringing together industry associations, technology professionals, and public sector stakeholders, the summit aims to foster collaboration rather than siloed responses to cyber challenges that continue to grow in scale and complexity.

The event is being supported within the broader framework of Indus AI Week, an initiative backed by Tech Destination Pakistan and Ministry of IT & Telecom to celebrate innovation across the country from 9th to 15th February 2026. RSVP coordination is being managed by representatives including CH Muhammad Javed Iqbal, Vice Chairman Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan, Dr Muhammad Usman, Convener ICCI Software Development Committee, Abrar Ul Haque, Executive Director Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan, and Aizaz Mohammad, Convener ICCI IT Telecom and Computer Hardware Committee. Through gatherings such as InfoSec Summit Islamabad 2026, organizers seek to encourage informed dialogue between government, industry, and the technology ecosystem, helping shape practical approaches to cybersecurity readiness and sovereign AI adoption that align with Pakistan’s broader digital development objectives.
