On June 29th, 2021, Daftarkhwan, a coworking space in Pakistan, will hold the third iteration of the ‘VC Exchange’ (VCX) in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Shortlisted startups can use VCX to present to numerous prominent investors in one-on-one virtual investment sessions. The portal connects Pakistani entrepreneurs with investors and venture capital firms.

Daftarkhwan has arranged 261 meetings with 35 investors and 198 entrepreneurs through the VCX programme since its inception, as well as two office hours at the Momentum and Startup Grind conferences in 2019.

“Our fundamental aim is to help startups,” stated Saad Idrees, CEO and Co-founder of daftarkhwan, in a statement, expressing his delight to host the third iteration of VCX. Every day, we’re inspired by the tales of our talented founders who are at the heart of our community, and we stay true to our purpose by providing them with a platform to interact with both local and international investors. This year, we’ve stepped it up a level by nearly tripling the amount of investors we bring on board and increasing the number of businesses we pick, giving great founders the opportunity to pitch their startups to an excellent and diverse pool of VCs.”

Fatima Gobi Ventures, GGV Capital, Global Founders Capital, i2i Ventures, Indus Valley Capital, Saison Capital, SBI Ven Capital Pte Ltd, Walled City Ventures, and Wavemaker Partners are among the investors who will participate in the virtual VCX event.

According to a statement released by the organisation, the VCX launch event will take place on June 10th, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive fireside chat with Atif Awan, founder and Managing Partner of Indus Valley Capital, Weihan Liew, Venture Partner at GGV Capital, and Misbah Naqvi, Co-founder and Managing Partner of i2i Ventures.

The dos and don’ts of a first company and investor meeting will be discussed during the Fireside talk.

Meanwhile, Daftarkhwan’s partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) would allow them to provide support to all participating entrepreneurs who have access to AWS Activate.

“AWS Activate offers a variety of perks to assist startups build their businesses, including AWS credits, AWS support plan credits, and training. Its advantages are “designed to provide startups with the optimal mix of tools and expert assistance to help them succeed with AWS while maximising performance, controlling risk, and keeping costs under control,” according to the statement.
