Pakistani students will now be able to verify their academic certificates online within 24 hours, following the launch of a new Customer Care Desk (CCD) portal by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). The service was officially inaugurated by Federal Minister for Education, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, as part of efforts to digitize education services and make document-related processes more efficient, transparent, and accessible to students across the country.

The CCD has been developed to streamline verification and other student services, replacing slow manual procedures with a more efficient digital system. Students will now have the ability to initiate certificate verification requests online and track their progress in real time. According to IBCC Executive Director Ghulam Ali Mallah, the portal uses a QR code-based tracking mechanism, allowing applicants to monitor the status of their requests at any stage. He added that the platform has already undergone six months of beta testing to ensure its reliability and is now fully operational for nationwide use.

This initiative has been designed not only for students in Pakistan but also for those studying or residing abroad who often face difficulties in accessing local services. For such cases, the CCD will handle queries received via email, with a commitment to respond within 24 hours. Mallah emphasized that public convenience was the central priority behind the system’s development, noting that the service aims to reduce delays, eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles, and strengthen communication between students and IBCC.

Through the CCD portal, students can file complaints, seek assistance, or request services linked to their academic documents at any time, since the system offers 24/7 support. For parents and students based outside Pakistan, this also provides a direct channel to resolve issues without needing physical visits to IBCC offices, ensuring timely and reliable responses. By combining online verification with digital customer care, the platform brings greater efficiency and accessibility to processes that have historically been cumbersome and time-consuming.

Minister Siddiqui praised the initiative as a significant step toward digital transformation in the education sector. He noted that the new system aligns with Pakistan’s broader move toward digitization across public services, particularly those directly affecting youth and students. By providing faster access to document verification, the CCD not only reduces the burden on students and their families but also contributes to improved transparency and accountability in education administration. The system is expected to particularly benefit students applying for higher education abroad, scholarships, or employment opportunities where timely certificate verification is crucial.

The launch of the CCD portal underscores the growing role of technology in reshaping Pakistan’s education landscape. With QR code integration, round-the-clock accessibility, and efficient email-based query handling, the service has been tailored to meet the needs of a digitally connected generation of students. By addressing long-standing inefficiencies in certificate verification and related processes, IBCC has introduced a model that blends customer service with digitization, setting a benchmark for other education-related services in the country.
