StormFiber have recently announced the expansion of their 100% Fiber Optic Network service to Gujranwala which includes their triple play service of HDTV, Telephone and Internet services.

StormFiber is one of Pakistan’s most reliable and famous internet service. They are a fiber to the home internet and television service provider and is powered by Cybernet, which is one of Pakistan’s leading corporate ISP. Recently, it has been reported that StormFiber has launched its triple play services in Gujranwala.

Gujranwala is one of the largest industrial cities of Pakistan and is a hub for entrepreneurs, industrialists, and academicians. The triple play service offered by StormFiber is a dedicated service that offers HDTV, Telephone and Internet services in the region. The launch of a gigabit internet connectivity of StormFiber will boost the digital infrastructure structure in Gujranwala and significantly make it on par (in terms of internet facilities) with other major cities of the country. Moreover, as this city contributes greatly to the GDP of the country, this will greatly boost the city’s GDP and total factor productivity. A strong broadband service can propagate the socioeconomic development of any country in this digital age.

Speaking on the launch of the facility in the region, Mr. Fawad Yousuf Laher, Managing Director at StormFiber, said: “Consumers and businesses in Gujranwala can now avail ultrafast and stable internet service that is commonplace in cities such as London, New York, and Beijing. It is a moment of great pride for Cybernet, a company owned and operated by Pakistanis, to be playing its role in closing the digital divide in the country. We continue to make immense investments in fiberizing Pakistan and are confident that with sustained efforts our country can become one of the best-connected in the world”.

StormFiber is currently available in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta, Hyderabad and Multan. They plan on launching the services gradually in more areas of Pakistan as well. Currently, StormFiber’s triple-play services will be available, with immediate effect, in the following areas (with more areas being facilitated soon):

  • Al-Mansoora Housing Society
  • City Housing Society – Phase 1
  • Climax Home
  • Climax Garden
  • DC Colony
  • Model Town
  • Shalimar Town
