Gobi Partners, Fatima Ventures Establish $20mn VC Fund for Pakistan

Gobi Partners is an early stage venture capital firm with a focus on IT and digital media investments in China. Recently, Gobi Partners has paired up with Fatima Ventures to launch a $20 Million Pakistan dedicated fund in Islamabad.

The partnership between the two investors was announced at a meeting that was held in Islamabad, where Gobi Advisor Jamaludin Bujang and Fatima Ventures CEO Ali Mukhtar shook hands to commemorate the partnership. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was also present on the occasion.

Gobi Partners made its first investment in a Pakistani startup SastaTicket.pk which they announced at The Nest I/O’s annual startup conference, 021Disrupt 2018, held in Karachi, Pakistan in November.

Fatima Ventures is an early stage VC fund that invests in scalable tech companies and helps them develop successful market strategies in order to establish and enable exponential growth.
