The Islamabad Capital Police has introduced an online platform enabling residents of the federal capital to acquire their learner’s permit for driving, announced a spokesperson for the police department.

Under the new system, motorists can apply for a learner permit online after completing a medical examination at the traffic office, as stated by the police spokesperson. Accessible through the official website of the Islamabad Capital Police, this service has been launched in accordance with directives from the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.

This initiative aims to streamline the process for individuals seeking to obtain a driving license, allowing them to apply for an online learner permit directly from the Islamabad police website. This online facility provides convenience and accessibility for applicants, enabling them to initiate the process from the comfort of their homes.

Earlier this month, the capital police also introduced a virtual driving license facility tailored for residents of the federal capital. Citizens can now download their virtual licenses by entering their National Identity Card number, driving license number, and expiration date on the official police website.
