Punjab government has launched free Wi-Fi services under the “CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi” initiative in Nankana Sahib, following successful rollouts in Lahore and Kasur. The initiative aims to provide free internet access across the province.

Nankana Sahib now has free Wi-Fi at five key locations, including Masjid Chowk and the railway station. Over 25,000 people have already used the service in the city. Kasur is also expanding its Wi-Fi coverage to 20 more locations.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed satisfaction with the initiative’s popularity, citing over five million users in Lahore. She announced plans to bring free Wi-Fi to Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala, and revealed that the Safe City Authority will be established in 18 cities by the end of the year.

The Chief Minister highlighted the service’s importance for women and students, particularly in emergencies.
