First Women Tech Camp To Take Place in Peshawar

Impact Dynamics is a think tank from Peshawar that offers consultation and conducts technical and soft skill workshops for budding startups. Impact Dynamics has recently collaborated with Daastan, a literary forum with a mission to revive, revamp, and run the literary Industry of Pakistan to conduct Peshawar’s first ever tech boot camp for women.

The Tech Camp for Women is a three-day free accelerated boot camp that is all set to take place on the 31st of January till 2nd of February and is powered by the US State Department.

The focus of the event is on women-led startups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) with the overall aim to enable them to build a better online presence to upscale their businesses. 

At the bootcamp, coaches from all across Pakistan will guide the participants to perfect their pitch and learn the right tips, tricks and hacks to grow their businesses. The participants are to get sessions on Pitching, Growth Hacking, Social Learning, Social Media Marketing Hacks, Digital Storytelling, The Art of Storytelling, Google Ads and Google Analytics.

Some of the speakers at the Tech Camp are: Urooj Hussain, where she will talk about how SMB’s can use digital marketing to maximize awareness and conversions in a highly competitive market. Shehryar Khan, an award-winning Visual Communication Designer who is currently working as a Designer in Residence at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board – KPITB. At the event, he will share the knowledge of how an effective interface design helps in building a booming business. Kayenat Hameed Khan, Cofounder and Project Coordinator Impact Dynamics. She has also authored the book “A Decade of Delight ” and is Peshawar’s first spoken word artist, who debuted for Words and Metaphor. In her session, she will be talking about “Leadership: Being and doing” at the Tech Camp for Women Entrepreneurs. Roshaan Saeed, a pioneer who initiated the movement on UX/UI design community building in Pakistan and is also the representative of global design platforms like Dribbble and Glug in Pakistan. In her session, she will guide startups about Rapid prototyping (RP) and how it helps entrepreneurs shorten the design cycle by letting them make in hours more than a prototype that would have taken a week without it.

 

Ommer Amer, will also be guiding Startups & Entrepreneurs about how the content can make or break a brand and will further explain the techniques to develop content that can build your brands with the passage of time. Maryam Arshad, Founder and Director of Impact Dynamics. She also leads GBG Peshawar and was also a founding team member as well as the former community manager of National Incubation Center. At the camp she is to talk about Growth Hacking. Other speakers that are to take stage at the camp include: Madiha Pervez the head of  Telenor Pakistan’s Digital Accelerator, Telenor Velocity. Danish Ejaz, the Digital Marketing and Outreach Lead at Impact Dynamics. Kiran Fatima, a film artist and a documentary photographer, has been working with art and technology for the past five years.  Lalsayd Mohmand, Community Manager for Blimp and PPC Associate at Rungs; and Haroon Q. Raja, Founder and CEO of Happy Cloud which is a premium WordPress cloud hosting platform targeted at SMBs & Professionals.

 Tech Camp for Women Entrepreneurs is to target women who want to make the optimal use of business hacks and technology to improve their business processes. The applications are now open for the tech camp. For more information, you can visit their facebook page.
