A significant milestone in professional upskilling and innovation focused education was marked this week as the first cohort of 51 candidates successfully completed the programme titled Innovation Driven Product Development Using AI. The programme was delivered in collaboration with Stanford Engineering Center for Global and Online Education and brought together professionals and emerging leaders committed to building advanced product development capabilities using artificial intelligence. Participants and partner organisations described the completion of the inaugural cohort as a proud moment that reflects growing demand for globally aligned AI education and leadership focused learning pathways.

The programme was designed to equip participants with practical and strategic knowledge at the intersection of AI, product development, design thinking, and entrepreneurship. Through structured learning modules and applied frameworks, candidates explored how artificial intelligence can be embedded into the full product lifecycle, from ideation and validation to scaling and market deployment. Emphasis was placed on innovation driven methodologies that enable teams to translate emerging technologies into viable, user centric solutions. The collaboration with Stanford Engineering provided global academic depth and industry relevant insight, ensuring participants were exposed to international best practices in AI powered product management and innovation leadership.

The successful completion of the programme was supported by a broad ecosystem of public and private sector partners, highlighting the collaborative approach required to strengthen Pakistan’s digital and innovation capabilities. Organisations involved included wAI Industries and Obsidian Technologies, alongside public sector institutions such as National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Federal Directorate of Education, and Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. Their collective engagement underscored a shared commitment to workforce development, continuous learning, and preparing professionals for AI driven roles in product development, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The programme also aligned with national priorities focused on enhancing digital skills and fostering innovation led growth across sectors.

Several industry and programme leaders were acknowledged for their role in supporting and guiding the cohort, including Naveed Latif, Abu Abdullah Ashar, and Ahsan Mashkoor. Participants highlighted that the learning experience went beyond technical instruction, offering exposure to leadership development, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem solving. The programme encouraged a mindset of continuous learning and professional growth, enabling candidates to position themselves as future builders capable of navigating fast evolving AI driven markets. With the first cohort now complete, stakeholders view the initiative as a strong foundation for expanding innovation focused education and strengthening Pakistan’s role in the global AI and product development ecosystem.
