Fincantieri, and the Pakistan Navy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore future collaborations in training, research and development, and potential future projects. The agreement was signed during the 12th edition of IDEAS, the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar, currently underway in Karachi.

The partnership will be centered around the Pakistan Maritime Science & Technology Park (PMSTP), a state-of-the-art facility located in Karachi. By establishing a presence at the PMSTP, Fincantieri aims to strengthen its ties with the Pakistan Navy and contribute to the growth of Pakistan’s maritime sector.

The PMSTP, a strategic initiative launched by the Pakistan Navy, serves as a hub for innovation and technological advancement in shipbuilding and related maritime industries. The park provides a conducive environment for research, development, and collaboration between industry and academia.

This collaboration between Fincantieri and the Pakistan Navy signifies a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral ties and promoting technological exchange. By leveraging their combined expertise and resources, both parties can work together to develop advanced naval solutions and contribute to the maritime security and defense capabilities of Pakistan.
